The My Real Life Tour - Michael Peterson - Presented by the U.S. Army
The Tour

Michael Peterson is bringing his national My Real Life, Strong For America Tour to cities across America. In addition to a concert event, this Tour introduces programs and resources to each community it visits. Specifically, the tour event is designed to provide:

  • help to students who are looking for career and educational direction;
  • motivation and tools to adults who have a desire to effectively and efficiently invest their time and talents back into their community and
  • mechanisms to community leaders and retirees to share their resources, wisdom and time in ways that strengthen the community

This Tour is probably not what you'd expect from a superstar entertainer. Usually, the bus rolls into town, the artist performs a two-hour concert and then goes home. Michael said he wants to spend several days in each town getting to meet lots of members of the community and sharing stories, music, motivation and great ideas about how we can all work to build better communities.

Here's a sample of events occurring during a typical Tour week:

Monday – Find a place to park the bus, get some good food and get ready for a full week!

Tuesday – There will be a press conference announcing the arrival of the Tour and providing details about the week's scheduled events. Michael will provide local and regional media interviews.

Wednesday – Michael will visit local hospitals, nursing/retirement communities and make presentations to corporate and community groups.

Thursday and Friday – Two school visits each day by Michael where he will present a captivating multimedia, motivational program titled: "Tag You're It!" He will bring along a world class illusionist to entertain and amaze the students.

Saturday afternoon – An interactive "Communa-palooza" event will offer the community a fun-filled afternoon of activities, attractions and events leading up to a Saturday evening community-celebration concert. The activities will vary depending on the community, but will include interactive displays, music, giveaways and much more.

Saturday evening – a concert given by Michael Peterson and his band!

Go to your specific city for full details.

The tour is designed not only to be a week long celebration of community but also to leave programs in place that will endure long after the week is over. The following is a brief description of some of the tools that will continue to benefit each community long into the future.

Volunteer Challenge Program – This interactive website portal matches volunteers with nonprofit service organizations in the community.

Youth Mentoring Program – This program activates and trains professionals and retirees to mentor youth. The program is supported by web-based tools to record and monitor personal and career development progress.

Internship Program – This program structures a formal internship program that will link high school and college students with participating organizations in the community.

"Tag You're It" Life Success Portal – An engaging website portal for students to use as a personal-improvement and career guide.
